Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing further to your email request below.

This authority has recently agreed 2 placements under the National Graduate
Development Scheme. The details and costs of which are included in the
report to our Staffing Committee (see PDF document below). In essence,
there were no actual costs for recruitment, other than officer time for
interviewing, as the recruitment was undertaken nationally as part of the
Government scheme. This aspect is funded through the I&DeA. The cost of
taking two trainees is £120k (Dorset Grade scale point 27 plus increments
per trainee) each of whom stays for two years, plus £2k per student to
contribute to their Masters in Public Administration.

I hope this information is useful to you, and completes your request for
information. If you are not completely satisfied with my response, please
contact me again, or write to the complaints officer at: Dorset County
Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1XJ. Or you
can follow the complaints procedure that can be found on our website
www.dorsetforyou.com at http://212.104.140.176/index.jsp?article...
If your appeal is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to
apply to the Information Commissioner for a decision.

Yours sincerely
