Dear Information Officer,

Dear Ms Tyler,
I apologise for the delay in responding to your request. This was due
staff shortages within the client department.
You have specifically requested "the response made to the local
authority made to Graham Badman's call on 17th September 2009 for
further evidence regarding the report into Home Education".
The relevant council officer has advised us that a response was
submitted online to DCSF on 11th October 2009 however, she did not save
a copy of the response prior to sending it out. The officer has tried to
locate that response using her submission number but was unable to
retrieve it. The Local authority therefore does not hold this
information.
I trust that this satisfies your request sufficiently, however, if you
require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you have the right to request a
review of the Council’s response to your request for information.
If you have such a review request, you may contact the:
Corporate Information Officer
Corporate Law Team
Room 1
Waltham Forest Town Hall
E17 4JF
Tel- 020 84964334
Within 28 days of the date of this letter. If you remain unsatisfied
with the outcome of that review, you may seek further recourse by
lodging an appeal with the Information Commissioner.
Once again, I apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this may
have caused you.
Yours Sincerely,
Shirley Orjih

Dear Ms Tyler
We have made further enquiries of officers in order to respond to your
email below. Officers are only aware of one consultation on home
education that followed a report to the Secretary of State on the review
of elective home education by Graham Badman.
It has not been possible to identify what it is that you are requesting
from using the link you have provided. In the circumstances we would
suggest that you seek clarification from the DCSF in relation to this
matter.
Whilst writing we would also like to confirm that a review has been
undertaken of this request and apologise for the fact that it was not
originally responded to within the 20 working day period.
Yours sincerely
