Funding of Iscador Treatment.
Andy Lewis made this Freedom of Information request to Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT)
The request was partially successful.
From: Andy Lewis
11 March 2010
Dear Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT),
Iscador is a product made from mistletoe according to the
quasi-religious beliefs of mystic Rudolf Steiner.
The Department of Homeopathic Medicine at Old Swan Health Centre
takes cancer referrals for treatment by this concoction made by
Weleda, the company set up by Steiner in the 1920's to sell his
quack remedies.
Could you tell me how much Liverpool Primary Care Trust has been
spending on this alternative cancer treatment over the past five
years?
Yours faithfully,
Andy Lewis
