Dear Sir or Madam,
In response to a written question by Lord Roberts of Llandudno on
2nd June 2008, Lord West of Spithead, Parliamentary Under-Secretary
at the Home Office stated,
"The National Staff Dismissal Register is a commercial initiative
of the Action Against Business Crime Group (AABC).
The Home Office, between 2004 and 2007, provided more than £1
million of funding to the group to set up and maintain 120 business
crime reduction partnerships in towns and cities across England and
Wales. All Home Office funding ceased in March 2007."
The following information is requested under the Freedom of
Information Act for the period stated between 2004 and April 2007
and for any periods following April 2007 to date:
The total funding provided to Action Against Business Crime or any
of its subsidiary agencies or companies by the Home Office,
A breakdown of this funding for each different project/cost code
(or as seperate by the Home Office for accounting purposes) run by
Action Against Business Crime or any of its subsidiary agencies or
companies,
Details of any other financial benefits or incentives not provided
in direct funding, received by Action Against Business Crime or any
of its subsidiary agencies or companies.
Yours faithfully,
Christopher Richards

Dear Sir/Madam,
In 2007, the Home Office received more than 20,000 letters and e-mails
from the public.
Our aim is to provide clear, accurate and prompt responses to your queries
and we need your help to ensure we are providing a good level of service.
In order to make improvements to the service we provide, we need to know
what you thought about how we answered your correspondence and what you
think we could do better. Please note that we are interested in your views
on how we answered your correspondence, not on the actual Home Office
policy.
We have designed an online survey that will give us the feedback we need.
It should take around 10 minutes to complete and is your chance to
influence how the Home Office communicates with you in the future.
You will receive an e-mail from [2][email address] within the next
24 hours. This will provide you with a unique ID number and password so
that you can complete the survey on-line. You will need to do this by 9
February 2009 so the responses can be collated by FDS International Ltd,
an independent research company, who will forward the results to the Home
Office for action.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Signed
Ian Goswell
