Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Free Masons

Freedom of Information Act 2000. I will now deal with your request which

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Free Masons
I am writing about your recent request for information held by the Council
under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I respond to your questions as follows:
1) Are District Councillors required to state whether or not they
are members of the Free Masons?
No.
2) Please name all members.
We have no knowledge of any Members of the Council being Free
Masons as we do not ask for this information.
3) Is this a requirement on their declarations of interest form?
No.
4) What is the penalty for not complying?
There is no penalty.
If you are unhappy with my response or wish to appeal against it you may
pursue any complaint through the Council's Complaints Procedure, by
writing to the Head of Corporate Law at Maidstone House, King Street,
Maidstone, Kent ME15 6JQ.
Should you remain dissatisfied with his response you may appeal to the
Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF.
