Thank you for your enquiry.

The Cheshire County Council has logged just over 1000 enquiries as
requests under the Freedom of Information Act. (2005=289, 2006=214,
2007=203 and so far 2008 over 300) It is likely that the Council has
received more enquiries that would technically qualify as requests under
the Act but have been answered in the normal course of business or have
been answered immediately and not been logged.

Unfortunately the report on how many requests are not answered within 20
days is not working. I would estimate that the deadline is missed
perhaps 6 times a year for logged enquiries. I do apologise that your
enquiry has been one that slipped passed the deadline - it is simply
that I didn't answer in time. In order to prevent this happening in
future I am manually checking our log to look for approaching due dates.

I hope this answers your request.
