Dear Sir or Madam
Please accept my sincere apologies for the delayed response.
Since January 2000 the Council has responded to 334 requests under
the Freedom of Information Act. This figure does not include
requests made under FOI, where FOI did not apply. These were dealt
with seperately.

Dear Sir or Madam,
But you should. It is the responsibility of the monitoring officer
to report to the council every time the council breaks the law.
Failing to meet the 20 day deadline without a valid excuse breaks
the law. Why has the monitoring officer not been bringing this to
the attention of the council. Or is that the real reason you don't
keep records? No records nothing to report.
Yours sincerely,
T Thomas

Dear Mr Thomas
I hope this email reaches you, since I have been unable to link up through
the website and this is the only email address I can find for you. My
colleague Ms Thomas asked me to review her dealing of your request, as in
your email of 11 February.
My review confirms what Ms Thomas has already told you. We have responded
to 334 requests under the Freedom of Information legislation as mentioned
by Ms Thomas. As she said, we do not keep a record of how many times the
council has failed to reply within the 20 day period, although every
effort is made to reply within the time.
It is not the Monitoring Officer's responsibility to keep track of this
information and report it to the council.
Yours sincerely

Dear Sir or Madam,
You are wrong it is the monitoring officers statutory
responsibility to bring to the attention of the council every time
they break the law. Failure to respond to an FOI request within 20
days means the council is breaking the law. To suggest that the
council is not interested in knowing when it breaks the law is
ludicrous. I think it may be more appropriate if I make the
councillors aware of your cavalier attitude to them breaking the
law.
Yours sincerely,
T Thomas
