Craven DC had problems with WDTK mails at their security firewall, now resolved. I've resent this request, apologies for the delay.

Craven District Council

Dear Mr Thomas

Thank you for your email detailed below.

As you may be aware, emails from your website have not been getting
through this Council's firewall as the system has been treating them as
spam emails. I have been advised by the Council's IT department that
this situation has now been resolved and further problems should not be
encountered. Indeed on this occasion your email has been received and
not rejected so it would appear that emails from this source are now
whitelisted.

I have, therefore looked at your request for information regarding the
number of FOI requests received and how many requests were not responded
to within the prescribed timescales and would respond as follows:

Craven District Council deals with FoI requests in two ways. Routine
requests that are relatively straight forward to answer and involve only
one service unit are dealt with by that unit and no central record of
numbers received or response times is kept. Complex requests that
involve collating information from various departments within the
Council are administered centrally and details of numbers received and
whether the timescales are met are recorded.

I can therefore, inform you that, since the Freedom of Information Act
came into force, we have to date received 176 complex Freedom of
Information requests and of those, 29 responses were outside the
statutory 20 day period.

I have forwarded your email asking for a review to the Council's Head of
Legal Services but bearing in mind the fact that emails from
"whatdotheyknow.com" had been blacklisted and were therefore not getting
through to the Council I trust that you will now accept that the matter
has been sorted and your request responded to.

Yours sincerely
