I write in connection with your request for information dated which was

** "Please could you confirm whether the MPS makes use of a list

EXTENT OF SEARCHES TO LOCATE INFORMATION
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted
at Public Access Office.
RESULT OF SEARCHES
The searches located records relevant to your request.
DECISION
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please see below information pursuant to your request above.
The MPS does not make use of a list categorising FoI requests in order of
importance (eg High profile). The legislation stipulates that FoI
requests must be responded to with 20 working days, thus they are
processed according to the date received in order to meet the deadline.
The PAO does, however, compile a weekly report to notify the business of
requests which the PAO believes may be considered as 'high profile'. By
'high profile' we mean requests which require further consideration by the
relevant business group / subject specialist before response decisions are
made. This list enables business groups to view the questions submitted to
the Service to ascertain whether they have a business interest in
assisting the business group handling the request with the decision making
process. We must assert here that this list does not take precedence over
any other request received by the organisation as all FoI requests are
disseminated by the PAO within 24 hours to the relevant business group for
immediate action. As the MPS 'high profile' list has a distinctly
different purpose to which you have described in your request I believe it
will not answer your request to provide you with copies. However, if you
do wish request copies of the MPS 'high profile' list you are welcome to
submit a further request, although, this right does not guarantee you
access to this information.
