Information on any Freedom of Information training provided to the authority staff, the costs of the training for each year since 2000, and whether the training was provided by internal or external trainers.

04/11/2002 and 11/02/2004 - External professional training on Freedom of Information Act attended by the Head of Law.

11/06/2003 and 25 & 26/02/2004 - External trainers delivering three half day in house courses for all staff - overview of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation/organisational and staff responsibilities.

10/04/2005 and 05/09/2005 internal courses for directors, heads of service and team managers detailed training on FoI and explanation of how Authority deals with requests under the act. (see PowerPoint presentation attached.)

Costs: 2002 - £250; 2003 - £2,500;

2004 - £7,500; 2005 to 2008 - no formal training events.
