Freedom of Information Act response times
Tom Morris made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport
The request was successful.
From: Tom Morris
10 June 2008
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to request information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 regarding the speed and efficiency of the
Department for Transport in responding to requests under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000, specifically:
(a) what is the number of requests which are not handled within the
statutary twenty day limit?
(b) what is the percentage of requests which are not handled within
the statutary twenty day limit?
(c) after a followup reminder that a request has not been handled
within the statutary twenty day limit, what is the average response
time?
(d) if the figure in (b) is higher than nil, whether policies or
targets have been put in place to ensure that response times
increase?
(e) if such policies or targets have been put in place in the past,
whether or not they have been successful?
I would appreciate if the responses to (a), (b) and (c) could be
split by some kind of uniform time measure - perhaps by year or
month.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Morris

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have, in the past, sent a Freedom of Information Act request
regarding airport body scans which was completely ignored.
I would like to know what the current policy is regarding the use of
the low-level body scans at airports such as Heathrow, specifically
what protections are in place to prevent misuse of collected images.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Morris
