Dear Sir or Madam,
I see from the recent press release [1] about free golf for under
18s that:
"In order to play on the course, young people will be required to
book in advance and have a valid Kidz Card or Young Scot Card".
Can you please confirm for me that this is indeed the policy; that
council officials would not accept alternative documents or
evidence as proof of age?
Looking at the application form for a Glasgow Young Scot Card, I
see that children are required to explicitly opt out if they object
to data sharing and the associated activation of a Citizen's
Account, rather than being required to opt in if they do consent to
data sharing.
I should be grateful if you could provide me with a copy of the
Privacy Impact Assessment associated with the Glasgow Young Scot
Card and its application form, and any other documents pertaining
to the decision to require an opt-out rather than an opt-in.
Yours faithfully,
Dr Geraint Bevan
