Dear Sir or Madam,
On the afternoon of the 23rd August, I was on the 27 bus, going
from Hammersmith to Chiswick. At around 14.20, as the bus pulled
away near Latimer Upper School, the driver became involved in an
argument with a cyclist. The cyclist was not being entirely
reasonable but it did not excuse the torrent of obscenities that
the driver shouted at him. Including, ‘F*ck you, you
motherf*cker.’I kid you not. In front of a bus load of passengers
including children.
I reported this disgraceful incident via the TfL website and
exchanged some emails in which I asked to be notified of precisely
what had been done.
Today I received a reply from Hannah Ashby of TfL Customer Services
(ref 717463/2 HA) stating that, ‘For confidentiality reasons we
never release details of an interview and any subsequent action
taken’.
I do not think that this is acceptable, and neither do journalists
on several local newspapers and websites; we would all like to know
what disciplinary measures have been taken against the driver for
this appalling behaviour.
Given that TfL is a Public Sector body, are you able to supply me
with this information under Freedom Of Information legislation?
Yours faithfully,
T Feely

Dear Mr Feely
Thank you for your email received by TfL on 16 September. You have asked

August, and details of any subsequent action taken by the driver's
employer's, London United.
Your request has been dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act and I can confirm that TfL does not hold the information
