Thank you for you request for information about payment for foster
carers. I have attached our Fostering Allowance sheet for your
information. As you will see on the sheet the money we pay is per child,
it is an allowance rather than a wage.

receive FEES, (by a variety of aliases), IN ADDITION TO,
1. Child Maintenance Fostering Allowances
2. Training Incentive Payments of £10/£20/£25
respectively

Dear Cooper, Fran,
Re Foster Parents. You had already sent me Foster Child
Maintenance, Holiday and other allowances, as well as Foster Parent
'Training Incentive' Payments. What I am trying to discover is
whether your Council has also got a Foster parent 'earnings',
(usually called fees, but sometimes called rewards or allowances),
system.
Each Council has its own system - some are simple, some complex -
covering things like 'bail and remand', children with
(alleged),complex needs, etc
