"Thank you for your enquiry regarding whether the Financial Ombudsman Service will be brought within the scope of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. We assume that the FOIA review that is being referred to is the Designation of Additional Public Authorities consultation, published in October 2007. The government will publish its response as soon as possible. We can confirm that the Financial Ombudsman Service has been nominated and considered as part of this consultation."
This is taking a remarkably long time - from October 2007.
