Dear Mr Purdy,
Re: Your request
Thank you for your email dated 13th March 2010, which you make a request
for
information which I now confirm receipt of.
I would like to inform you that there will be a delay in responding to
your request.
The reason for this delay is because the IPCC has over recent months
seen an increase
in the number of information requests it receives and this has in effect
caused a
delay in responding to requests.
I would like to assure you that your request is being processed and once
a decision
has been finalised you will be contacted. I would like to apologies for
the delay and
hope that this does not cause you any inconvenience.
Yours sincerely

Dear Independent Police Complaints Commission,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Independent Police
Complaints Commission's handling of my FOI request 'Former/current
Police employees or officers'.
Thank you for providing a response to my query and the apology for
the delay. I am not 100% happy with the response as I am unaware of
a category of staff known as 'deputy senior investigator'.
As such I would request that as part of this request the names of
those deputy senior investigators that are former or current Police
officers/civilian staff is released.
With thanks,
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Dear David Emery,
Thank you for your PDF file, I now have had the opportunity to
consider your response. I remain dissatisfied with this response.
I understand at the IPCC 'DSI's' are used completely in the
management of cases, without the involvement of any SI.
As the deployment means a DSI will have ultimate decision making
capabilities in the investigation I feel they certainly come under
requirements for the disclosure of their past employment history
with law enforcement.
Yours sincerely,
Mark Purdy
