The Home Office commissioned research into whether raising the
spouse visa age from 18 to 21 or 24 might help to prevent forced
marriages. The research appears to have been conducted by the
Violence Against Women Research Group at the School for Policy
Studies based at the University of Bristol. A summary of the
research findings has been published

The full research report has not been published and I request that
it is made available. The findings are published so there is no
reason why the full research report should not also be made
available.

refer in my original request is now broken as the summary appears
to have been removed from the internet.

The title of the research summary was "Forced marriage: the risk
factors and the effect of raising the minimum age for a sponsor,
and of leave to enter the UK as a spouse or fiancé(e)" and the
researchers were Marianne Hester, Khatidja Chantler, Geetanjali
Gangoli, Jasvinder Devgon, Sandhya Sharma & Ann Singleton.

Thank you for your reply. The United Kingdom Border Agency is part
of the Home Office. I have directed my query to the Home Office.
Firstly, I dispute that I have directed my enquiry to the wrong
place. Secondly, even if I have done so, would it not be helpful
for the Home Office to redirect my enquiry to whatever other
internal part of the Home Office might answer it?

The report released is the version that was submitted to us by the
contractor. As you know the report was not published due to quality
issues as I have outlined to you previously, therefore there is no final
version.

You may wish to contact the researchers at the University of Bristol,
who may have undertaken more work on this report, as I am aware that
they are planning a couple of publications on this research later this
year.
