Dear Mr Scott

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22
February 2011 asking for monthly statistics for FOI requests, late replies
and exemptions applied, since 1 January 2007.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and I can confirm that TfL does have the information
you require.

The attached spreadsheet contains the requested information. Please note
that we hold information for financial rather than calendar years (1
April-31 May) and divide this into 13 four-week periods, rather than
months. We have therefore provided information from 1 April 2006 up to the
end of the last completed period, finishing on 5 March 2011. We have also
included figures for requests considered under the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004.

Prior to financial year 2010/11 we did not compile period statistics for
the number of exemptions and cost limits applied to requests. For
previous years therefore, we have provided the total number of exemptions
and cost limits that were applied each year.

If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate
to contact me on the details below.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal.

Yours sincerely

James Grant
