Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your request for information regarding FOIA requests,
which was received on 3rd June, 2009 and is being dealt with under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. We are therefore required to provide
you with a response within 20 working days, which will be on or before
1st July, 2009.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I refer to your request for information regarding FOIA requests, which was
received on 3^rd June, 2009 and has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
The specific information you requested was as follows:
1. How many requests for information under the act has the Council
received?
2. How many have times has the council failed to respond within the
statutory 20 day period?
In response, to the date of your request on 3^rd June, 1,862 requests had
been received and of these, 142 were not responded to within 20 working
days. Please note that these figures include requests which were dealt
with under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

I have, but don't want to become vexatious by asking another on a related subject until they have answered. Currently, I understand that they the council might have breached article 16 of the FOIA in relation to my question, and I'm waiting for an admission from them.. doubtless they record all their breaches of FOIA..
