FOI Correspondence
Dear Nottingham City Council,
I would like to request copies of all emails, letters and memos sent to or from the leader of Nottingham City Council which mention Freedom of Information, and in particular, any correspondence about the Council's compliance with FOI requests.
I would like the search for correspondence to start on the date the Information Commissioner informed the Council that it was being subject to formal monitoring for its compliance with FOI.
Yours faithfully,
Pete Grotowski
Dear Sir,

Pete, from my view it is still marked as 'awaiting response' if that helps.

My apologies - this must have been a glitch on my machine, or in my head!

Mm. I'm looking forward - but for obvious reasons not holding my breath, on reading any NCC response to this one.
Dear Information Governance,
This request is now well overdue. As you are currently being monitored by the Information Commissioner, I am surprised and disappointed to see that you have not even taken the trouble to acknowledge this fact.
Please provide your response to my request now.
Can you also explain why you have not yet answered or even provided an explanation for this situation? If you do not wish to do this for straightforward customer service reasons, please consider this question as a new FOI request.
Yours sincerely,
Pete Grotowski
Dear Sir,

Can anyone explain why a follow up request sent by this site, apparently to the generic Info Governance team, generates a response from a specific case worker, saying it's not their case?
I mentioned this the other week - surely it can't be a delaying tactic but rather a glich on the site?
Dear Information Governance,
Do Nottingham City Council consider more than 10 working days to be 'as soon as possible' when providing an update?
Yours sincerely,
Pete Grotowski
Dear Sir,
Please accept my apologies. I am not able to comment on your email but, have forwarded it to the relevant person and our Service Manager for attention.

Interesting.
Requester asks for 'emails, letters and memos', answer only mentions a search for emails.
Perhaps this is what they mean by learning more from what they DON'T say?
Dear Information Governance,
I would like to request an internal review.
I requested different forms of correspondence but your response only mentioned the leader's email account. Therefore, a search of the Leader's email account would not be sufficient.
Also, I would be grateful if you could confirm whether your search was restricted to the Leader's Council email account? If the Leader sent any email via a private email account on council business, this would also be covered by the FOI Act, so I would like confirmation that no emails were sent via another account, or alternatively, copies of any relevant emails.
Finally, I would like an explanation of how it was that it took Nottingham CIty Council so long to answer this relatively straightforward request.
Yours sincerely,
Pete Grotowski

This has been marked this as partially successful. I do not know whether this is WhatDoTheyKnow's mistake or mine, but the request is still in progress.
