Fixed CCTV Camera Locations

Dear Mr Roberts,

I write in connection with your request for information dated 03^rd
February 2009, asking for the following information:

o I would be grateful if you would provide me with a full list of fixed
CCTV camera locations that the British Transport Police operate, or
have access to.

Your request has been considered and as directed in Section 1 of the
Freedom of Information Act, we can confirm that we do not hold the
information requested.

British Transport Police have a small number of cameras attached to some
of our main buildings, such as BTP's Force HQ and BTP's Scottish Area HQ
which are used monitor the entrances and reception areas etc. (Included
on our website are addresses for all headquarters buildings:
http://www.btp.police.uk/about_us/contac...)

BTP do not own or operate any CCTV systems at locations they police. As
with any other police service, British Transport Police can obtain data
from any system if there is an evidential need.

British Transport Police provides you the right to request a
re-examination of your case under its review procedure. If you decide to
request such a review and having followed British Transport Police's full
process you are still dissatisfied, then you have the right to direct your
comments to the Information Commissioner (www.ico.gov.uk) who will give it
consideration.
