Thank you for your Freedom of Information request about qualified first
aiders in the department, which was received on 1 June 2009.
You asked to be provided with "details of any reward or remuneration
awarded to members of qualified staff performing the role of a First Aider
within your department."

Dear Mr. McPherson
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request about qualified first
aiders within the Department, which was received 1 June 2009.
You asked for "details of any reward or remuneration awarded to members of
qualified staff performing the role of first aider within your department"
Please note that your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. Under the Act, you have the right to:
. know whether we hold the information you require
. be provided with that information (subject to any exemptions under
the Act which might apply).
Following a search of our records, I can confirm that members of staff
performing the role of qualified first aiders receive an extra day annual
leave. They receive no additional remuneration.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our response to your request
for information and/or wish to appeal against information being withheld
from you please send full details within two calendar months of the date
of this letter to:
