Dear Sir or Madam,

I am interested in understanding the costs associated with the
implementation of the new IT system for FireControl. Press coverage
at time of contract (early 2007) signature with EADS, indicate that
the value is £200M over 7 years.

1. Please could you outline in detail what the various costs cover.
i.e. what element is for COTS software (C+C, GIS, asset
management), bespoke software development, implementation services
for this software, training services, annual support and
maintenance, change management costs and overall project
management.

2. What proportion of the costs are to be paid by CLG and what
costs will be passed on to Fire Services at a local level?

3. Could you detail the companies that made up the EADS led
consortium?

4. What change control procedures are in place and what is the
current value of change control notices agreed since the original
contract award?
