Thank you for your request for information which is copied below.
In response to your questions:
1. How many people are employed in the Fees Office?
In 2001 the Fees Office ceased to exist to be a separate office within the
Department of Finance and Administration (now known as the Department of
Resources). Operations Directorate became responsible for:
. Payment of salary to Members, their staff and House
staff
. Payment of parliamentary allowances
. Pensions payable to Members , their staff and staff
of the House
. Guidance to Members on personnel issues
. Training for Members' staff
. Payment of House suppliers and goods and services
As at 1 June 2009, there are 76.8 (full-time equivalents) staff working in
Operations Directorate.
2. For each rank/grade, please supply the number of people of that
rank/grade employed in the Fees Office.
