BSI (formerly DTI) pays the MOD an annual sum to cover SAR. What is
the amount paid to MOD? Last available figures.

Mr Sykes
Thank you for your request for information about the annual sum paid by
the Department to the MoD for SAR. Your request has been passed to me to
deal with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Before I begin work on a reply, I would be grateful if you could clarify
for me what "SAR" refers to in this context, as there are several
different uses of this acronym across the Department. Also, as you know,
the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is the result of a
merger between the former Department for Business, Enterprise and
Regulatory Reform and the former Department for Innovation, Universities
and Skills. If you are aware of which of the former Departments was
responsible for these payments, it would help me to find the information
you have requested.
