Dear Rob,

Thank you for your enquiry requesting information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Barnet PCT
promotes a culture of openness and accountability to facilitate better
understanding of how the Trust carries out its duties, why decisions are
made and how money is spent. Please find below response to your question:

Could I obtain the number of people who were diagnosed with febrile
neutropenia and the number of deaths due to febrile neutropenia for 2008?

Deaths data for the whole of 2008 is not yet available. A further
difficulty is that it would be impossible to identify people who have had
hospital stays with a diagnosis of febrile neutropenia because the
diagnosis code is too broad and not specific.
