'Family court' definition of 'Balance of Probabilities'

Mrs Williams (Account suspended) made this Freedom of Information request to House of Lords

House of Lords did not have the information requested.

From: Mrs Williams (Account suspended)

21 November 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please state the lawful definition that backs up the 'family court'
workings that grants entitlement on the 'balance of probabilities'
to remove children and break their family bonds forever, without
providing facts .i.e. innocent until proven guilty.

Therefore, condoning by allowing such a travesty of injustice to
occur on a daily basis.

With regards,

Mrs Williams

From: FOI LORDS
House of Lords

7 December 2009

Dear Mrs Williams

I am writing in response to your request for information received by the House of Lords administration on 21 November.

The House of Lords administration; like any public authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, can only respond to requests for recorded information which it holds at the time of the request. The House administration does not hold any information pertaining to the 'family court definition of balance of probabilities' for its own purposes as this is not a function of the administration. However if the matter has been discussed by Members of the House of Lords as a part of Parliamentary business this will be published in Hansard. Hansard is searchable and can be accessed online by following the link below.
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa...

If you wish to find out more about making an FOI request please follow the link below to a guidance document produced by the Information Commissioner's Office. http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/l...

You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request for information, ask the House of Lords to conduct an internal review. Requests for an internal review should be addressed to [email address] or to the Freedom of Information Officer, House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW. Arrangements will be made for someone who has not been involved in dealing with your request to conduct an internal review. Our aim is to complete internal reviews within 20 working days.

If, following this review, you remain dissatisfied with the House's treatment of your request for information then you may take your complaint to the Information Commissioner at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire. SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely

Alex Daybank
