Information regarding projects / research on family law reform
Childrens Order 1995, as directed it is this department that deal
with civil law reform.

a)child contact cases - private and public law
b)child residence cases - private law

Information gained by myself by MLA Jeffery Donaldson has directed
me to this department. If Mr Donaldson has directed me to the wrong
department i will will be taking the matter up with him after your
reply.

Richard Taylor left an annotation ( 9 April 2010)

There is no provision in the FOI act to allow for an extension to consider exemptions under section 35 and 36.

What may be happing is a public interest test is being carried out to see if applying the exemptions is in the public interest or not; that does allow an extension to the time limit.

It's not clear to me if these delays are due to a public interest test; or if the letters amount to an apology for a failure to comply with the time limit the FOI act sets down.
