Dear Mr Batsworth

Further to your FoI request on the item in the Council's balance sheet,
the £12m balance has been set aside to fund a series of important legacy
projects.

The projects include enhancing and expanding the sporting facilities and
offer in our schools (sports halls, gymnasiums, martial arts centre etc),
the development and funding of a cultural and arts legacy programme in the
borough and the funding of a series of economic regeneration projects
designed to take advantage of the presence of 2012 Olympics in London.

I do apologise for the delay in responding to your request.
