Expenses: security advice

Dr. Geraint Bevan made this Freedom of Information request to House of Commons

The request was successful.

From: Dr. Geraint Bevan

14 May 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

I should be grateful if you would provide me with copies of any
security advice produced or received regarding the recent expenses
leak.

My request is motivated by an article in the Times which says that
MPs have been advised to change the PINs on their bank accounts.
This advice seems rather odd, but perhaps the HoC has access to
experts with a greater understanding of security issues than the
rest of us.

Given the frequent losses of personal information by public bodies,
there would seem to be a great public interest in ensuring that
everyone has access to the best advice in such circumstances.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Geraint Bevan
