Dear Mr Taylor

Request for information

In your email of 24 December, you asked for a scanned copy of the most recent travel expenses claim made by Jerry White. I will not supply you with a scanned copy of his claim (the Freedom of Information Act requires public authorities to supply information not copies of documents), but I can tell you that Mr White's last travel claim was for a journey made by taxi to the BBC in Coventry for a Radio 5 Live interview on 6 September. The claim was for £36.00.

That concludes my response.

Dear Foi Officer,
Talking to Radio 5 Live was not one of Mr White's duties as
Ombudsman. It seems he shouldn't have billed the taxpayer for this
journey and the Commission shouldn't have paid the claim. Is that
so?

Yours faithfully,

chris taylor

In any event, I was under the impression that the BBC sent a Taxi to pick you up if you agreed to be interviewed.
