Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know how many New Deal participants left
(prematurely without securing employment) or were exited each year
since the New Deal scheme began.
Reasons for them being exited are not important.
Published figures don't show this all I can find is monthly
starters and leavers which doesn't show whether their course ended
or they left before.

Did you not see on my message where it states "Published figures

You made me wait 6 weeks for such a nonsense response.
Please clarify yourself with the actual request. Just to confirm I
am only interested in statistics relating to those who have left
prematurely and NOT those who have left because their course ended.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work
and Pensions' handling of my FOI request 'Exited New Deal
participants'.
I would like to question the exemption because it is in the public
interest. The New Deal contracts allows such disclosure anyway and
the statistical basis of knowing how many people were "exited"
doesn't breech confidence as no provider will be highlighted - I
want a figure inclusive of all providers without a breakdown.
It is a statistic on New Deal - the Government scheme and doesn't
have any bearing on private businesses delivering the New Deal.

Dear Ian,
I have heard back from the reviewing officer and had confirmation that
your review request is still being investigated. Being independent of
the previous decision, she obviously needs to check how all sources of
information in this area are collated and held to identify if the
specific information you have requested is held in any format, and if so
whether that information could be provided within the costs limit.
I'm afraid this is taking some time as she is looking at a programme
that has been delivered under various contractors to many people across
the length and breadth of the country, but in conducting this further
review she necessarily needs to work through all possible options and
check how information is held before coming to any conclusion on this.
I apologise for the continuing delay, but this is necessary in ensuring
that she makes a fully informed decision on the points you raised.
