ETHICS v Contracts ?

Julie Shrive (Account suspended) made this Freedom of Information request to General Medical Council

The request was partially successful.

From: Julie Shrive (Account suspended)

13 June 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

How are they addressing fact that GPs and Doctors are being bought
in by LAs and hospitals with sole corporate directors and are not
in charge directing ethical practice as are no longer fund holders.
.Why did my former one say was rationing and no longer had to use
medical judgement ? Are they employing the not fully qualified, so
can dictate.
Does it not make sense that when a Doctor does a Test he should be
the one following it up as this is not happening itis receptionist
at GPs Surgery .

I have met Nurses, Service Manager & other Staff pretending Doctors
. In fact the 12 Medical Directors of Islington are based in
surgeries . Mine who never met, said rather refer to contract than
use ethics that was before cardiac arrest where specialist advice
NHS/Private was ignored.

My LA/PCT & NHS are preventing Choice by using passwords and
reference numbers using this to balance the books via
appointment.Then removing recordsvia outside PCT/LA employees .

Why are they allowing those on remits and contracts to not record
true facts by omission as put on computer. .I have also found this
happening in A&E Depts.

Yours faithfully,

Julie Shrive

Dear Sir or Madam,
CLARIFICATION

How does one assess and know if GPs and Doctors are following their
code of ethics or allowing their administrations / employers to
direct by contracts and taking the funds they should be directing
.What is done to correct this if found to be true ? How are public
informed?

Yours sincerely,

Julie Shrive

Dear Mark Ellen (0161 923 6347),

NB Last annotation . As dyspraxic your lack of understanding is
befuddling me . Should you be doing the job? As a result request
internal review as call centres like yours on remits are putting
citizens health and safety at risk ?

Yours sincerely,

Julie Shrive
