The records have been checked from the 01 April 2009 to date and there is one such complaint received on the 28th June 2010.

Section 12 of the Act makes provision for public authorities to refuse requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would exceed the appropriate limit, which for local government is set at £450. This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 18 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.

We estimate that to provide the information in question 2 in checking records going back to July 2004 of your enquiry will be 23 hours.

However we are happy to respond to your request if you pay the fee as set out in this notice. The estimated cost of processing question 2 of your request is £575. This charge has been calculated in accordance with Section 13 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Freedom of Information Fees Regulations.

We are unable to continue processing this part of the request until the fee is paid. If you wish the Council to continue to process your request you should pay the fee within 3 calendar months of the date of the email. If the Council does not receive payment of the fee by this date, it will be assumed you do not wish to pursue this and will consider that part of the request closed.
