Enfield PCT Community Services Costs

A Freedom of Information request to Enfield Primary Care Trust (PCT) by Jonathan Parry

The request was partially successful.

Jonathan Parry

26 April 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

1. I would like to know the cost to the taxpayer of my son Harvey
parry’s community care program i.e. physiotherapy / occupational
therapy cost from 2007 to date. I would like the costing itemised
by date, administration, equipment, staff cost and all associated
cost that Enfield PCT incurs when providing this community service
to Harvey Parry.

2. This vital community service has I assume a budget per patient,
what is Harvey’s parry budget per annum.

3. What is the average health care budget per patient per year in
Enfield.

4. What has the cost saving been to Enfield PCT by cutting Harvey’s
vital community services.

5. How many NHS patients in Enfield have had their community
services cut, when forced to seek health services through the
private sector, when Enfield PCT has failed to meet their health
needs.

6. What is the ethnic makeup of NHS patients in Enfield that have
had their services cut or restricted since 2006 to date.

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Parry

Dear Newton Carly,

I am not very happy with the reply recived, the main points being.

4. What has the the cost saving been to Enfield PCT by cutting
Harvey's vital services ie Physiotheraphy.

Your Reply:

The services available to Harvey have not been cut in any way.

Harvey has not had any physiotheraphy for over 2 years now, ever
since we started buying his prosthesis from America.

Since harvey has had his services restricted, You should answer
question 4+6.

6. What is the ethnic makeup of NHS patients in Enfield that have
had their services cut or restricted since 2006 to date.

Is this issue about race or is it based on budget cutting issues.

Our struggle with Enfield PCT is well documented by the media look
at Harveys site:
http://www.harveyparry-appealfund.com/me....

I feel disgusted & let down by Enfield PCT, who can't even tell the
truth under the FOI act, We have to ask the public to pay for
services which Enfield PCT has failed to supply & victimised
because we are trying to help our son.

Reguarding your logo at the bottom of your letters
POSITIVE ABOUT DISABLED PEOPLE you should remove it or change it as
my son Harvey has had NO positiveness from Enfield PCT.

All correspondance between us is now in the public domain LET THE
TAXPAYER WHO PAYS YOUR WAGES DECIDE?

I need to put this struggle behind me & concentrate on raising
funds for my son Harvey, who would of ended up in a wheelchair if I
had depended on Enfield PCT.

Yours sincerely,

Jonathan Parry
