Empty Property List
Andrew made this Freedom of Information request to Lancaster City Council
The request was successful.

10 March 2010
Dear Lancaster City Council,
I am looking for a list of long term empty property lists within
the councils area. Would you be able to supply me with these under
the Freedom of Information Act? A spreadsheet will suffice, I
require no personal information simply the property address.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew

Dear Sir,
In order to process your request, can you please clarify the following
points.
A) What do they define as long term ie 1 month, 1 year etc? A
spreadsheet with just the address on would not mean much, it would only
indicate those which are currently void unless we know what time span we
are looking at. We may be able to provide void history, but again would
need a time span.
B) What type of properties - just dwellings, or all properties eg
including shops
C) What classification of property eg some properties are 'out of
charge' and will never be re-let, as they are permanently vacant pending
the City Centre redevelopment
Many thanks

Hi Dawn,
Can I have a list of both residential and commercial empty
properties that have been vacant for six months or more. If there
are properties ear marked for demolition then I don't need that
information.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Boyd
