Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

Can you please let me know the number of empty homes lambeth
council own?, and how long each of them have been empty?

eg.200 under 3 months, 100 over 1 year, 300 over 300 years.

I don't require a breakdown of the properties addresses. just the
total numbers.

Lambeth Council owns 35,604 residential properties. Lambeth Living manages
33,205 of these homes and United Residents Housing 2,398

As of 28 February 2010 there were 1074 empty properties in Lambeth.
Lambeth Council retained responsibility for 172 of these properties- 49
under development, 89 awaiting disposal, 34 awaiting demolition

In age terms these split down as follows

< 6 months 7

6 months - 1 year 21

1-2 years 27

2-3 years 13

3-4 years 14

4-5 years 12

5+ years 78

Total 172

The remaining 902 are properties Lambeth Living intends to repair and
return to residential use over the course of the next 2 years.
