Employee Smoking Policy

David Briggs made this Freedom of Information request to Redbridge Borough Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Redbridge Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

From: David Briggs

6 November 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

In response to media reports of Redbridge Council refusing to
accept smokers as foster parents for young children, I would like
to enquire under the Freedom of Information Act, the percentage of
council employees who are smokers that also have direct contact
with young children e.g. social workers, classroom assistants,
teachers, nursery staff etc.

I look forward to your reply

Yours faithfully,

David Briggs
