Electronic copy of letter from oil and gas industry read out by Lord Provost at beginning of Council Meeting of 19th May, 2010.

John Aberdein made this Freedom of Information request to Aberdeen City Council

The request was successful.

From: John Aberdein

23 May 2010

Dear Aberdeen City Council,
Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act,
2002, please could you forward to me electronically a copy of the
letter read out by Lord Provost Peter Stephen at the beginning of
the Council Meeting of 19th May 2010 at 10.30 am in the Council
Chamber.

The letter was from the oil and gas industry. I believe the Lord
Provost stated that it was from Oil and Gas UK. It had very
recently come to the Lord Provost's hand. The letter's topic was
the strategic importance of the City Square project for future
investment in the area.

The letter was read out in open session of the Council, and thus
was heard and noted by assembled councillors and officials,
representatives of the press and media, and members of the public,
of which I was one.

With my thanks for your attention in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

John Aberdein
