Dear Sir or Madam,

Does the LGO and/or CLAE provide electronic access to its datasets
to the Audit Commission and other public body [please name]

http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/lo...

"I am able to supply Ombudsman's letters for the last 3 years
<<ombudsman Annual Letter 2007-8.tif>> <<LGO Annual letter to
L[uton] BC
2006-07.pdf>> <<ombudsman Annual Letter 2005-6.tif>> You should
contact the Ombudsman's Office for previous years.

Similarly I can provide the following information for the past 4
years from a passworded Audit Commission webpage Extract from Audit
Commission website
http://piprofiles.audit-commission.gov.u...

This takes you to:

Complaints Complaints to the local government ombudsman During
2007/08, the Local Government Ombudsman received 57 complaints
relating to the council, compared to 42 in the previous year and of
those complaints received in 2007/08 7 were dealt with by local

and if it should provide access to this information by the Audit
Commission and any other organisation could you provide any
documents identifying why their data should be different to that
published by the LGO in both their spreadsheets and annual letters
(and provide copies of all altered records).

i.e. in 2007/2008 according to the LGO there were nine (9)
identified local settlements agreed between the LGO and Luton
Council.. yet according to Luton Council (based on the Audit
Commission Web Site) there were only seven (7)

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Hardwicke CARRUTHERS
