Dear Sir or Madam,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to know:
A. The number of persons in the local authority of compulsory
school age who are, or claimed to be, electively home educated and
who have been either suspected or found to be involved in child
abuse, neglect, forced marriage, sexual exploitation or domestic
servitude.
B. How many (if any) Serious Case Reviews or Joint Area Reviews
have reported with respect to home educated children in the LA.

Freedom of Information Request Reference 2009/2334
I refer to your request for information relating to elective home
education received on 30^th March 2009.
Please see the information in response to your questions provided below:
A. The number of persons in the local authority of compulsory school age
who are, or claimed to be, electively home educated and who have been
either suspected or found to be involved in child abuse, neglect, forced
marriage, sexual exploitation or domestic servitude.
There are currently four children who are electively home
educated and where there are child protection concerns that are being
monitored. None of these children are currently subject to child
protection plans. None of the concerns relate to forced marriage,
servitude or sexual exploitation.
B. How many (if any) Serious Case Reviews or Joint Area Reviews have
reported with respect to home educated children in the LA.
None.
