Dear Sir or Madam,
In documents released by Bristol City Council in response to a
Freedom of Information Act request by Bill Wren, Paul Jones, of the
Conveyancing Section of Bristol City Council, reported in an email
dated September 12 2008 that Bristol City Council intended to grant
an easement of land along the Bristol-Bath Railway Path to the
property developers Square Peg.
Please could you provide details of any meetings or correspondence
between officers of Bristol City Council and representatives of
Square Peg (including but not limited to Squarepeg/Squarepeg
Investments, Acanthus Ferguson Mann, George Ferguson, the Pegasus
Planning Group, Interface, the Gee Factor and/or Jenny Gee) to
discuss this easement.
Please also supply any notes, minutes or reports made as a result
of these discussions.
Please also supply any report prepared by council staff regarding
the easement of this land.
Finally please provide any further written material (this might
include correspondence, emails, minutes, notes and reports) Bristol
City Council holds in relation to the proposed easement of this
land to Square Peg.

subject.

The only meeting to have taken place since 15/09/08 is one on 18/09/08
where Davies and Partners, Squarepeg's Solicitors attended a meeting
with Property Services and Legal Services to discuss the type of
agreement that Squarepeg wished to hold over the strip of land along the
entire length of the Chocolate factory site.
A further e-mail dated 19/09/08 was sent by Property Services to Davies
and Partners confirming that no further discussions could be held until
instructions had been received as to whether the council wished to
proceed with any agreement over this land.
This response should answer your request in full, however if you are
not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any
exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the
Data Protection Officer at Bristol City Council Legal Services, The
