Dear Enquiries,
I would have thought your Finance Dept. could give you a reasonable
indication of how many replacement wheelie bins have been replaced
on payment.
Most of the people I have spoken to in the Model Village area have
been charged.
This would indicate we have a problem here that needs criminal
investigation and not just a letter from the Police the day after I
complained, without them even visiting the area. Tracks left by the
vehicle used in the theft were clear in the snow for a week
afterwards and were peculiar to one particular type of vehicle.
I still do not have a final Police report, yet I am charged monthly
for a Police Service.
I would point out that the unfortunate Policeman recently killed in
Northern Ireland was on his way to investigate a broken window in a
house. How different to the response we get here in Shirebrook.
Yours sincerely,
Paul Rutherford

Dear Mr Rutherford
Thank you for your follow up enquiry. The information we supplied was in
response to your original request as stated below:
'How many Black Dustbins have been replaced through wear & tear and
how many of them due to theft in a)the Shirebrook Area including
the Model Village b)the Shirebrook Model Village Area only in the
past 12 months. If you are unable to differenciate between wear &
tear and theft then the total figures will be acceptable.'
It appears now that you are asking for how many replacement bins were paid
for? Can you confirm that this is the case and that you would like us to
make enquiries to see whether we hold that information i.e. of the 48
replacement bins supplied to the Model Village, how many were paid for?
Kind regards,
Miss Lee Montecalvo
