Dear West Mercia Police,
1.In Hagley, there are frequent cases of people parking right on
pavements after having driven right across the pavement to actually
get there. What is West Mercia Police policy ( or national police
policy) towards driving on and off pavements)?
2.Hagley police insist that there is absolutely nothing they can
do OR WILL DO unless they personally see the driving on the
pavement. Is this correct?
3.The fact that:a.) Passers by themselves have seen the driving on
and off the pavement and taken the time to report it.b.)It is
demonstrably clear that the vehicle concerned did not fly into its
position on the pavement Hagley police seem unconcerned. Why is
such an occurrence a problem for Hagley Police?
4.Please state the law and the section of the law that states that
police must see the offence of driving on the pavement themselves (
rather than civilian witnesses). It would be most helpful if you
actually quote the actual phrasing of the law and the current
police interpretation of that law.
Yours faithfully,
Alastair Lambert
