Dear Sir or Madam,
I have tried to get the following information from the Police, but
whilst they say there are 11,000 cases, they do not break them down
at all.
They recommended I contact yourselves and in particular the
domestic violence advocacy service who may have the following
information:
Please confirm for the most recent year, the gender breakdown of
all reported incidents of domestic violence - eg female perpetrator
on male victim etc, the age of both parties, whether children were
present and the outcome for the perpetrator eg no further action,
prosecution for assault etc. Please also record where both parties
claimed to be victims. Please also identify whether incidents were
repeat visits (ie same victim).
Yours faithfully,
Ian Tyes
