I write in connection with your request for information which was received
by this office on May 26, 2009. I understand you are requesting the
following information:

whom writes up the documents the penalty notices
and statute notices issued to members of the public?

is devon and cornwall constabulary a for profit business

are the documents,penalty notices and statute notices written in
legalese or by the law society?

does the law of the land take priority over statute law?

Your request will be considered in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. You should expect to be sent a response within the
statutory limit of 20 working days, subject to the provisions of the Act.

I write in connection with your request for information which was received
by this office on May 26, 2009. I understand you are requesting the
following information:

whom writes up the documents the penalty notices and statute notices
issued to members of the public?

is Devon and Cornwall constabulary a for profit business

are the documents, penalty notices and statute notices written in legalese
or by the law society?

does the law of the land take priority over statute law?

I regret to inform you that your request is not a valid request for
information under Section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. This
is because your request is not asking for written information which is
held by Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, it asks questions and for
opinions.

Under the Freedom of Information Act you can request any information,
documentation or records that are held, in some physical form, by the
public authority.
For instance if you asked for reports or policy we would consider these
questions a valid request.

If you would like to reword your request so that it becomes a valid
Freedom of Information Request then you are welcome to do so. If you would
like any advice or assistance on how to do this then please contact one of
