From: Alistair McCann

Dear Sir or Madam,
Until the mid 60's, the document store at Mount Eden Park was used
as the Regional Government War Room.
It was replaced by the bunker at Gough Barracks Armagh and then by
the bunker in Ballymena.
I am writing to you to ask if it was at all possible to view the
inside of this building.
I am a member of the Royal Observer Corps Association and we are in
the process of setting up a museum at the former Maze Prison site.
We are documenting all the former Cold War sites left in Northern
Ireland to compile a complete history of the Royal Observer Corps
in N.I.
Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Alistair McCann

Mr McCann
I write to formally acknowledge your request for access to the document
store at Mount Eden Park.
Unfortunately the store does not form part of the Northern Ireland Court
Service estate.
The reason for the delay in my responding to you is that I have been
trying to ascertain what organisation has the management and control of
the document store. If you bear with me a little longer I hope to have
some information for you in the very near future which will enable you
to redirect your request to the appropriate authority.
Regards
Glynis

Dear Crawford Glynis,
I was under the impression that the building had been in use by the
Court Service since 1990, the building may only have been put out
of use recently.
If the Court Service do not own it then it may fall into the care
of the Northern Ireland Office.
Here is a link to the website that I found the reference to the
ownership by the Court Service.

Any help you can get me would be most appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Alistair McCann

Mr McCann
I have been in touch with the NIO and they are looking into it for me.
It is their understanding that PPS and/or CSO are responsible for the
management and control of the building. When I have something
definitive I'll come back to you.
Hope this is ok.

Mr McCann
I have ascertained the details of a contact for you in respect of your
request to inspect Mount Eden document store. It is not part of the
Northern Ireland Court Service estate as described in the Site Record.
Please contact Trevor Geary at [1][email address] who should be
able to assist you.
If you are dissatisfied with this response you may ask the Court Service
to conduct an internal review. A request for an internal review should be
addressed to Patricia Quinn, Communications Group, Northern Ireland Court
Service, Laganside House, 23-27 Oxford Street, Belfast BT1 3LA.
If, following the internal review, you remain dissatisfied with the Court
Service's treatment of your request, then you may take your complaint to
the Information Commissioner. The Information Commissioner's address is
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Mr McCann
Apologies for that. Yes, I did try to copy it and it was on my screen
before I sent the e-mail! However, here it is again:-

Unfortunately, I don't have a telephone number but you could add yours
