Dear Head of Legal Team,

Shall Judges by Law be required to sign the Care Orders i.e.
interim care orders, care orders, adoption orders,?

If a Court Order has a Court Stamp with a typed name i.e. Judge
Smith, but no wet signature, is this considered lawful or legal?

Regards,

I Peroll

Dear Steve Davies (HMCS-CSU, Cl Hse),

Thank you for the following, this FOI request is now complete.

" The answer is that they do not. The Family Procedure Rules
require an order made by the court to be endorsed with a court
seal. The rules describe the seal ‘as a mark which the court puts
on a document to indicate that the document has been issued by the
court’. There is no requirement for the judge to add an additional
signature."

Yours sincerely,

I Peroll
