Dear DES SEC-PolSecSubs2 (Eccott, Victoria Miss),
can you please explain to me why you have failed to respond to me
by your deadline of the 25 June 2010. I wish to complain that the
statutory deadline of 20 working days is long since past and you
have failed to provide the information I requested or a reason that
the MOD is not willing to provide the information. I noted the MOD
are in clear breach of their statutory Duties.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's
handling of my FOI request 'DNESB reports to the DESB 2006-07,
2007-08 and 2008-09'.
A: failure to provide the information requested within the 20 days
required by law and;
B: Why you have failed to update me by the 25th of October as
stated by you, in your latest update to my orginal request.

Dear Mr Dawson
Your request for an internal review of your FOI request for information
regarding DNESB reports to the DESB 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 has
been passed to the MOD FOI Internal Review Team. Unfortunately, it is
not possible to conduct a comprehensive internal review until a
substantive response has been issued. This is because the internal
review is a post mortem on how a request has been handled including,
examination of the substance of the reply, application of exemptions,
balance of the public interest (where qualified exemptions have been
applied) etc. However, I am assured by the relevant FOI focal point
within MOD who is handling your request that you will receive an update,
if not the substantive reply, by 30 November 2010.
Should you remain dissatisfied with the substantive response when you
receive it, please contact me again and I will arrange for it to be
reviewed independently by the Head of Corporate Information at MOD.
I would like to apologise for the delay in responding to your request.

FAO Usha Sondhi
You assured me in your reply of the 3rd November that “the relevant
FOI focal point within MOD who is handling your request that you
will receive an update, if not the substantive reply, by 30
November 2010”. It is now 1st of December and I would like you to
know; that despite what you said, I have received no information or
update on my request.
I wish you to draw my complaint to the personal attention of the
Head of Corporate Information at MOD and for him/her to explain to
me why the MOD seems incapable of complying with its statutory duty
to provide me with the information I requested or any explanation
as to why it is continuing to be withheld.
