Dear Sir/Madam,
Following reports (for example, see http://bit.ly/cCIkkB) of your
students heaping anti-Semitic abuse upon a visiting member of the
Israeli government – including use of the Arabic for, "Slaughter
the Jews!" – I wish to make the following request under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000:
—Is the University taking any measures to identify those involved,
and if so, what measures?
—Has the University already identified any of those involved?
—What steps could potentially be taken against students proven to
have been involved in racist abuse and incitement of religious
hatred?
—Does the University plan to pursue any such steps against those
involved in this week's events?
If you need any clarification, or if this query needs to be
transferred to another person, please action this as soon as
possible. I shall expect a reply within the statutory period of
twenty working days.
Yours faithfully,
Steve Elibank
